Clean slate design for the Internet

A very interesting research project to revamp the design of the whole internet called "clean slate design" is being worked at Stanford. Since Internet is not designed for the data and the applications that are currently being deployed (videos, podcasts etc), researchers have gotten together to re-invent the Internet. Internet was designed without Security in mind. Clean slate has security in its list. It should be a challenging work to design and build the internet from ground up. Probably should keep a close tab on this project to see how it matures and addresses real world issues like migrations from current infrastructure to the new and on..
