Google announced itz decision of buying Neven vision to incorporate Face recognition into Picasa to help us better organize photos.
Excerpt --
We've been working to make Picasa (Google's free photo-organizing software) even better when it comes to searching for your own photos—to make finding them be as easy as finding stuff on the web. Luckily we've found some people who share this goal, and are excited that the Neven Vision team is now part of Google.
One of my friends was earlier referring to Riya.com which uses face recognition to search photos. I was thinking Google might buy Riya but never thot it wud end up in a competition

one day google will tell, who is this joebi, what is his interest (from orkut) ..what is he doing (from orkut again)...who all are his friends..what they doing !!
and now with their photos ;-)
giving out lot of details about you without knowing ;-)
Yep. I sure do understand that Google can connect some dots to understand me / anyone using their services. I have just a little trust in Google after the refused to give search query patterns of users to DOJ and Eric declaring in the wake of "AOL screwup" that Google will never be a threat to user privacy. Anywayz people need to be cautious. I am trying to reduce my dependency on Google..
btw, anyone cud get info abt me / others thro Orkut. U dont need Google doing that. I am more concerned abt the search queries / mails and other of my stuffz that Google has access to..
