YouTube -- Trend shift in "news" sharing ?
I was watching coverage of the "Middle East Crisis" in CNN which was telecasting some of the real time war videos posted on Youtube by Lebanese. YouTube is really making a paradigm shift here. CNN reported that "Operation Desert Storm" of 1991 was the first war to be telecasted live on TV, where you would see missiles flying around and then during Afghan / Iraq wars, reporters accompanied battalions and captured live casts of war. Now with the astuteness of Internet / user based applications like blog / Youtube, itz the civilians who are getting the real-time information to millions of persons across the globe. This is a great example of how powerful a medium Internet has become. Getting curious if therez any course available called "Internet Journalism", I googled to identify that London School of Journalism actually has a course for Web journalism. Power of the Web huh !!
