Neuro Pattern Recognition
I was watching an early 90's tamil movie and it was real fun to watch the movie. All the serious scenes looked funny for me. I was able to predict the scenes which could follow and even guess the entire story of the movie. I am sure most people could crack the story of most of the movies even when they view it for the first time (I was able to crack the story of a hindi movie called Dil ne jise apna kaha within 20 mins :)). I was amazed about how we could create a sequence / pattern and predict the scenes in movies. Is this the neuron which is responsible for generating a pattern recognition algorithm in our mind to help us predict scenes in movies ? If so, is it worth simulating for enabling predictability in a Business scenario like predicting the pattern of a stock / Qtly revenue of a Biz etc. But I am also puzzled about why a human brain which can predict the story of a movie cannot predict the rise and fall of a stock etc etc. These thoughts just make me amaze at Greatness of God. His creations are just too wonderful and complex to understand.

Hi Amar,
DNJAK was such a horrible movie :( but I remember those funny scenes like heartbeats etc ...)
My question / thought was, even without watching an entire movie, how are we able to predict the story and the scenes in a movie ? Every movie has a story sequence as designed by the director. How are we able to crack that sequence, in most cases with very little effort ?
I dont think Stock market is a random system. It might be a pseudo random system and it should be predictable / deterministic system rite. For eg, there are Brokers and their statistical Analysis Softwares which cud predict a trend in the stock prices taking various parameters and indexes like CPI, FII investment, Government policies etc etc into consideration.
Why is that the human mind which predicts the sequence of movie not able predict the stock prices ? Is it because that human brain has lesser computation power than the Computer ?? I wonder wat our processing power wud be ?? I'll see if I can dig out more info on this.
