ID theft from boarding pass

Do you have the habit of throwing away Bills or Bank statements or visiting cards or boarding pass ? If so, beware. Someone can steal your identity through that. This article has cited a recent incident which happened in London's heathrow airport where a person's complete details were ripped off just by picking up the stub of the boarding pass he had thrown away. When I was in Phoenix, one of my roomies cheque was misused. His credit card company had mailed free cheques and someone had broken into our apt mail box, stole the papers and used up his cheque.
