RFID Virus - The new fud for Hackers

Andrew S Tannenbaum and his students have come out with a theory and Proof of Concept that RFID can be infected with virus. This means that all those biggies like Walmart (all inventories are maintained with RFID tags) and the Department of Defense are in big trouble. RFID manufacturing companies like TI and Symbol Tech have defended that RFID is secure and cannot be infected with virus. Also they provide options that a more secure system like RFID based credit cards could use a costly RFID tag with more security features. Lets wait and watch this war between wud be RFID hackers and RFID companies
